I just read about this new site where you can report about leaf blowers in Santa Monica (after all, the gas powered polluting kind are illegal).

I once knew a guy who owned a gas powered leaf blower who made a lot of extra cash when he was down and out on his luck. He’d drive around Hollywood looking for film shoots in neighborhoods and crank the sucker up just when the film crew would start to roll film (horrible for recording sound). Fifty bucks from the Production Manager would make him go away until he started to be recognized and film crews started calling the cops. I guess people are innovative when they want to get something done, just like the creator of this website.
