Blogging 101 – how to rank on Google

The blog is all about Santa Monica (and the real estate here) but if you want to contribute and you want your article to stand out and be seen by Google and the search engines, follow these simple rules: First, you need to know what search term/keywords you want to be found under.

1.  Use your keywords between 2-4% of the number of words on the page – you should mention Santa Monica at least once, since that’s what this site is about.

2.  Keep it under 500 words.  300-500 is best.

3.  Start and end with your keyword phrases.

4.  Have 2-4 outgoing links to other sites (extra points for wordpress blog links)

5.  Have a picture for user experience.  Like this one:
