Calendar of events for November:

November 12 – “Can We Talk?” – 7 PM – The annual Sunset Park meeting at which city staff, including the City Manager and representatives from departments such as Airport, Community and Cultural Services, Fire, Human Services, Open Space Management, Planning and Community Development, Police, Public Landscape, Public Works, Transportation Management, and Public Works listen to residents discuss their priorities for the city’s 2010-2011 budget. Co-sponsored by Friends of Sunset Park. This takes the place of the November FOSP Board/Membership meeting, and we would like a good turn-out!

Santa Monica will have a new City Manager in January, after Lamont Ewell retires, and we don’t know if he or she will continue this practice of coming around to the neighborhoods to actually listen to residents before the budget planning process begins. Please make an effort to attend this important meeting!
